Hi Everyone, Welcome back to another exciting drop from the world of AI, and this time we will focus on the new Free AI model - Nano Banana (aka Gemini 2.5 Flash Image)

As by the end of september, it was reported that more than 500,000,000 images were just edited in the Gemini app, with hundreds of millions more across other surfaces.

Today we will explore few ideas on how you can use this AI model to generate images of your own.

How do I use Nano Banana AI ?

Follow this guide, and you are good to go. There are various ways of using this model, let me show you the various options

1. Using Google AI Studio

You can visit https://aistudio.google.com/ which is completely free, along with the Gemini API, once landed, you can switch to the Nano Banana model.

It will show you Temporary chat, your changes will not be saved, but If you want to save your progress for the images long term, you need to give access to your Google Drive, and you should be good to go.

Here, you can also see the pricing options https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/docs/pricing - so according to it, there is a rate limit for Free tier, you can upgrade to Pro versions to increate to the higher rate limits

2. Using Gemini API

The Gemini API "free tier" is offered through the API service with lower rate limits for testing purposes. Google AI Studio usage is completely free in all available countries. The Gemini API "paid tier" comes with higher rate limits, additional features, and different data handling.

3. Using Gemini App (Mobile)

Here is a video I created for some use cases, using the Gemini App:

Use Cases:

1. AI powered interior design and editing with Nano Banana

Go to this app (Home Canvas) https://aistudio.google.com/apps/bundled/home_canvas?showPreview=true&showAssistant=true, where you can add a screen and drag the products in to it, you have to upload the images, based on the selected spot AI will place the product in the scene. Let’s create that

Generate a scene

So I gave this prompt to Gemini 2.5 Image generation model:

Generate a empty 1 bhk room that has a 517 sqft area with carpet area 316sqft, balcony area 15sqft, common area and external wall thickness 206 sqft. The balcony is attached to the hall and while entering the open kitchen section is on the right side (So kind of hidden), its a long hall on the other end is the balcony with wide PVC door and windows and on the right wall, on the center we have the bedroom door, the floor is made up of marvel light yellowish color, and the room its on 4th floor with golf court view. Here I am attaching the floor plan for your reference.

And also attached the floor plan image:

So by tweaking a bit, as you can see we got the perfect scene image

Gemini generated this image :

The Final Scene:

  1. Gathering Images for Products

You can download any product you want from google images.. or any online ecommerce store like Amazon or ebay.

For me i downloaded this image:

  1. Combining them both

Now let’s say I need to combine this product image with my room scene image..

all you need to do is click on the scene, and Gemini will place the product in the scene..

The generated image 😀

And you will get the generated image, good for imagination and how you can set things up.

I hope you get the idea..This is one of the use cases out of many on how you can improve your creativity.

In the next article we will explore more.. so stay tuned :)
